Evans Research Associates Privacy Policy

This policy is a statement of the ways in which Evans Research collects, holds and uses information about individual persons, particularly in regards to databases provided to us by our clients to conduct market research studies.

1. Pledge of Privacy

Evans Research will not sell, share, or otherwise distribute data to third parties or use data for any other purposes than originally intended.

We will not use or distribute data without the consent of the respondent.

The term "data" as used in this Policy refers to information such as respondent name, e-mail address, mailing address or telephone number.

2. Intended Use of Data

Evans Research uses data for the purposes of conducting market research studies. For example, we may obtain and use data provided to us by our clients in order to complete a market research survey.

We keep all data in accordance with any applicable legal or ethical reporting or documentation retention requirements.

Data may occasionally be transferred to the clients from whom a database list was originally sent for further processing in accordance with the purpose(s) for which the data were originally planned.

In general, Evans Research does not use cookies in its collection of survey data. A cookie is a small text file that is sent to your computer's Internet browser and stored on your hard drive. Most cookies are created to make your browsing experience easier by remembering your preferences. Cookies can also be used to track advertisements. In some studies, we will read your cookie information to understand whether a particular online ad was displayed on your computer and the time and date that ad was delivered.

On the use of cookies, Evans Research Associates follows CASRO's [Council of American Survey Research Organization] guidelines.

3. Right of Access

Respondents have the right to ensure that their personal data is always up-to-date in client databases. In addition, survey respondents can always tell us to stop contacting them by sending a request to bill@evansres.com.

All requests to be removed from databases will be dealt with in a prompt and proper manner. Requests to delete personal data will be subject to any applicable legal and ethical reporting or document filing or retention obligations imposed on us.

4. Security and Confidentiality

To ensure the security and confidentiality of data that we receive or collect, we use data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection. In the course of handling data, we take measures reasonably designed to protect that information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

We reserve the right, in exceptional circumstances, to disclose information to the extent required by law if we are required to do so because of an applicable law, court order or governmental regulation, or if such disclosure is otherwise mandatory in support of a legal or criminal investigation.

5. Policy Changes

Evans Research Associates reserves the right to update and make changes to this privacy notice. If we materially change our practices in handling personally identifiable information, as described in this notice, we will post the changes on our Web site at least 30 days prior to their implementation.
